We (My respectable better half and small Yorkshire Terrier Rusty, and myself) completed a very nice Sunday stroll around the Kenilworth area on Sunday. We stared at Kenilworth Castle and walked to the neighbouring village of Honiley and back again in a circular route. The whether was great and scenery just as good. About a mile into the route, in the middle of a fallow field we found two balloons stuck on some grass. They were filled with helium and just managing to keep themselves up in the air. Being people who do not like to leave litter when we find it, we collected them to put in the bin. They were very pretty and a shame to bust to put in a backpack, so, how will we carry then we asked? Attach them to the dog, was the answer. So we completed the other 6 miles with these balloons attached to the dog’s harness. I am sure that the balloons were bigger than the dog. Got some strange looks from castle visitors and Honiley village locals, but all had a smile. I just thought that I would share this amusing part of my weekend with you to hopefully brighten your day.
