I've just got one to take up to the lakes. I intend doing some photography from the water. Presently looking for spots with easy access to the water as I don't fancy humping it too far. I also think a wet suit would be a sound investment given the climate. Dave

A wet suit is a good Idea. I would kayak of windermere its got too many speed boats.

I do a lot of kayaking when I can fit it in between Angling and Walking . A wetsuit is a good idea in cold weather , in Spring and Summer you can use a pair of shorts and a lightweight top . Carry a windproof top and always wear a buoyancy aid . Never ever go alone . www.canoescotland.com
