Does anyone just walk in open countryside not just hills and mountains?
If yes Where?

Because I had a narrow escape on Ben Nevis in 2002 my wife was not happy with the idea of me going up a mountain again in 2003. I decided to find a more safer place to explore. So I went to the Yorkshire Dales. In a bookshop I found a book by Bob Allen on a six day walk in the Dales. The book is called "A Dales Walk". The main walk totals 69 miles and passes Leyburn, Aysgarth, Hawes, Kirkby Stephen, Keld, Reeth and Richmond. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and very quiet. It is all easy terrain and there is plenty of accomodation. I stayed at YH and B&B. If you are interested I will quote the ISBN: 0 7181 4135 And the pictures I took were published on the internet.
