Does anyone know any?
There are many local ones where I am from which vary. There is how a giant made the hill the wrekin which i do not know the full story of.
There are three Stiperstones legends which I know well. Firstly the one of Wild Edric. Edric was a warrior of olden days and is now said to haunt the hills and mines of the stiperstones but people do not see him as a threat the see him as a charm. He is ment to be a protector of england and whenever a war starts he is seen riding across the hill with his wife and soilders towards the enemy country. The second is the story of the Devil's Chair a Large rock where the devil is said to sit in the fog and cause lightening storms. And the last is that on the longest day of the year all the ghosts and spirits in england gather here to select thier king for the next year (this is because pagan ceremonies happened alot here in the past). There are more myths and legends but I cannot remember some and some have nothing to do with hills.
